What are you #Chasing in 2023?
Let's begin by doing!

The first week of 2023 is in the books. It's always amazing how quickly that post-Christmas week seems to move. Now we enter the time to get things done phase of the year. We can scramble, rush, and overreact to goals that get the most attention for the next 12-15 minutes. Where are you settling? What are you changing?
I'm aiming for improve the following, in no particular order. More consistent sleep, commitment to 12 books, 200oz a water per day, grow CC to 50k subs, positively impact the trajectory of 10 people's lives, and be more present as a father/husband. That's it. No pressure.
But, all of that's just noise until I report back 357 days from now. One thing we can agree on right this very moment.
The hobby is still moving...and it's seemingly trying to spin itself out of a year long rut. Maybe the new year is just what #SportsCards needed. We have uncertainty abound, but we still can grab hold of our 2.5'' x 3.5'' piece of cardboard and realize that not much is ever going to change. We love our cards and we want to keep them part of our lives. Hobby, you keep on moving...but we got yo' back.
So πΊ or π₯ to a new year of hobby journey'ing. We have lots to explore and lots more to learn. Look forward to doing it with you. Enjoy the new format below.
STOP.... and THINK
"If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done." - Bruce Lee π€Ί
CARD MARKET HEALTH

The only important takeaways I have at this point... Wax is in a serious spiral. It's been that way for months. I don't think it changes until we get a rookie class (NFL/NBA) that is worth a solid gamble. Otherwise we will continue to see money shift away from sealed product over to singles/graded.
One area I am watching closely is the volume of transactions. I'll report on this next week, but the last two weeks have been 2 of the 5 lowest volume weeks in two years! Yeah, the # of transactions is important because that clearly indicates demand. Declining volume will lead to.... declining prices. We'll keep a close eye on it so we can get ahead of the next turn.
